POSITION OVERVIEW
Surrey Police
Service (SPS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Court Liaison Clerk to
join our Information Management & Technology Division, within the Corporate
Services Bureau. Reporting to the Court Services Manager and under the
supervision of the Court Liaison Supervisor, the incumbent will perform
administrative and clerical work involved in the processing of court documents
and related materials.
Schedule
/ Hours of Work
The anticipated
schedule for this position is 35 hours per week. Please note, the hours are
subject to change based on operational needs and adherence to the Collective
Agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews and screens reports, and
documents to crown counsel for completeness of information. Processes court
dispositions.
- Processes
fingerprints, trial notifications and identifications.
- Researches,
prepares, processes, and maintains files, records, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintains
close liaison with Surrey Police Service (SPS) personnel, court officials, and
others.
- Performs
computer data entry.
- Responds
to inquiries by phone and in person.
- Assists
other staff in performing their duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion
of Grade 12, supplemented by related training and experience.
- Considerable years of experience in court, police, and
municipal procedures.
- Typing speed of 50 wpm
- All applicants
must obtain and maintain the required police clearance throughout their
employment with SPS. This role also requires RCMP Reliability Status (security
clearance).

The salary range is $35.71/hour to $38.98/hour (pay grade 19) based on 2024
rates.
